- We want to deviate from Default if that leads to a better option
- We do NOT want to deviate from Default if that leads to worse option
  - for example because we're just lazy
Every Deviation = chance for improvement
- Why did someone not follow the Default?
- How can we adapt the Default, so these reasons are included?
Concrete use
- If I don't want to follow a Default, then I send the tag
  "CDD - Conscious Default Deviation"
- this informs everyone on the Team + everyone is supposed to react
  - Option (1) = ThumbsUp 👍
    → if you agree with the decision to deviate from Default + don't see a need to adapt the Default itself
  - Option (2) = Leave a "critical" comment
    → if you think, that the deviation has bigger costs than gains + that this would have been a situation where it was better to follow Default
  - Option (3) = Leave a Suggestion for Default-Adaption
    → If you think that it was right not to follow the Default + it seems to be a situation that will come up more often, so the Default should be adapted to cover that situation adequately
